The Best Chocolate Mousse, Monster Trucks and Michael Mosley
Hello Lovely People
In just a couple of days, I will be heading off on an adventure! Firstly to Ireland for big hike along the Kerry Way and then over to Italy to run my Yoga and Wellness Retreat. You could still join me…..
It has been a super busy year so far, with data collection for my milk study, a grand final berth with my team Melbourne Victory, retreats to do and plan and of course, managing the TEENAGERS in the house. Having three kids close together will be fun they said. Who did say that exactly?
How are YOU travelling at our mid way point of the year?
Something to Think About

Something to Make
The Easiest Chocolate Mousse in the Whole World
This chocolate mousse recipe is across Tik Tok and other social media platforms but I got the idea from Jacq over at Brown Paper Nutrition.
It is an absolute winner and loved by all age groups. For all doubters in your household that would not consider tofu for a minute, make it, don’t mention the ingredients and feel smug that they now secretly love it.
Ingredients
1 x 300g block of silken tofu
180g block of Old Gold dark chocolate (I used the Cherry Ripe flavour but just choose your favourite)
Method
- Melt the chocolate in the microwave or on the stove
- Blitz the tofu with stick blender or food processor
- Add the melted chocolate into the tofu and blitz again with the blender
- Pour into 4-5 small ramekins or containers and place in the fridge until set
- Sit back and enjoy this simple, delicious high protein treat
Something to Do
Last week we all heard the extremely sad news about Dr Michael Mosley. He made such a difference in the world of nutrition and had so many valuable insights and research to share. His death is a true loss.
You can listen to Richard Fidler on ABC’s Conversations, interview Dr Mosley last year and it gives some wonderful background to his own journey with health. I would highly recommend it. Thank you Dr Mosley for the legacy that you leave.
PS. My next West Australian retreat will be 24-28th October and bookings have already begun. If this one interests you, get in touch at julie@juliemeek.com.au before it fills up.
For an Italian adventure, Tuscany calls on the 29th June – 6th July. The full rundown on this magical week can be found here. All details for both retreats can be found here.
Until I return in July, take care everyone.
Julie
